Infrared Seamless Asphalt Repair is an effective solution for critical issues that need immediate attention.
Using intense infrared heat, we soften the damaged area in about 10 minutes to a depth of 2+ inches. The softened asphalt is then scarified by raking. We add bonding oils and new asphalt blended with the original asphalt. Once leveled to the surrounding pavement we use a vibrating compactor for maximum density and durability. Our finished product is a seamless asphalt repair. There is no joint because we never add hot asphalt to a cold surface.

What Infrared Paving Repairs is not for Infrared patching serves only when there’s extreme surface deterioration and does not improve structural support of the existing surface.
No. Compared to traditional full-depth patching or mill and pave repairs, infrared asphalt patching cost is low. Depending on the details of the job you can spend up to 50% of the cost. Our unique process uses less machinery, materials, manpower and time resulting in savings for you. There is no need to cut out, remove, replace, transport and dispose of large quantities of asphalt. Infrared asphalt repair uses the existing asphalt which leaves little or no wasted material and results in less handling and lower disposal costs. In addition to these great savings using the infrared asphalt repair process, we also offer volume-based discounts.
“Throw and roll” Workers throw hot asphalt into the pothole and compact. This process does not use thermal bonding which results in these patches often failing when water and ice pop it out. You may notice these repairs beginning to fray around the edges.
“Cut & Remove and Repave” This process is expensive and time-consuming, and does not use any thermal bonding. It requires several workers with saws, jackhammers, excavation equipment, trucks, pavers, and compactors, and can occupy your parking lot for days. The finished product still leaves a “cold joint” where water and ice will undermine the repair.
“The Duramax infrared process” Our process uses one truck and two men. Unlike “curb to curb” pavers, we fix only what is broken. We heat to a depth of 2-3” within about 10 minutes. Once softened, we rake and reshape the asphalt that is already there plus add new asphalt. We don’t charge you to dig it up and haul it away. Our system is faster, less expensive, and very durable. And unlike other methods, our repair is seamless and that is the crucial difference.
No. Infrared asphalt repairs correct the top 2-3” of the roadway only. Sub-base issues (settling, water drainage, shifting) can only be corrected by excavating existing base to full depth and reestablishing a new stable base.
No. By linking multiple repairs in succession, infrared can be used very economically to essentially repave much larger areas all with a seamless finish. High traffic areas, entrances, loading docks, and rutted areas can all be repaired with our system.
No. Our truck and crew require minimal disruption. No dump trucks, no jackhammers, no excavation equipment. We will place traffic cones in the immediate area during our work.
No. Infrared asphalt repair is perfect for alligator cracking and settled areas, catch basins, manhole covers, utility cuts, joints, cracks. We can install or remove speed bumps.
